the magic potion

Somewhere around the time that I arrived to Paris, my skin started to literally freak out. Meaning, it started creating red marks and odd bumps instead of the regular ol' white head or aching bump. My skin has never been perfect, but I've also never had a problem with red marks. I panicked, and bought anything and everything around me that I've read are "so good" and have got major five star reviews on beauty websites; like the Shu Uemura oil cleanser, and the Effaclar-Duo from La Roche Posay. It started with the oil cleanser, which I've been longing for for years. However, the results were not as hoped for. My nose was cleared of blackheads (really, this one cleanses it like no other cleanser has before) but the red spots continued to increase and everything just got worse. So I stopped and so did the multiplication of redness, but no sign of it going away.

Then I thought, maybe it's because I'm stressed? I upped the green tea intake, went out for a jog when I could and started doing bikram yoga, but again, no change. This is when I started getting really desperate. And so one day when looking at one of a model recommends' videos where she explains about her recent breakouts and how she's managed to bring her skin back to normal thanks to the effaclar duo, I was sold. Off I went to the nearest pharmacy and the same day I smeared it all over my face in hope of once and for all getting this to stop. But, that was not the case on this occasion either. Instead I was faced with a horrible breakout in the form of dozens of small whiteheads on my chin that have yet to dissappear.

And then one day, I went into Kiehl's and the woman who worked there made me take one of those tests where you get to see what products you should use, and boy am I happy that I did. She recommended I'd use the Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, which is like a serum that you use daily (I use it at night). Even though it's only been 3 weeks, I can definitely notice that the red marks have started to fade away and I notice a kind of glow that I've never seen on my face. So my tip to anyone out there with similar problems: go get it.

Also, I´d like to ask you if you know any good (and affordable) hotels (or any other accommodations) in Paris? All your tips are very welcome! Thank you so much.

    1. Hey! No problem and as for the hotels, I don't really know.. If you're like 2-4 persons, maybe try renting an apartment for a week? Or try hostels! There are plenty of very fresh ones for decent prices! Like this one: http://www.republiquehotel.com/rates/
