dresses, doggies and short short skirts

Wondering what kind of dress I want to splurge on (see resolutions). If I happen to find this one by some odd chance, I will definitely swipe my card without a second thought. Love the low cut on the sides and the detailing.

:')

DIY moisturizing mask. I've been using these and my facial cream from Kiehl's, and then afterwards I slap on some more moisturizer and go to sleep.

Ever since I re-watched Bring it On (the one with Kirsten Dunst, bien sûr) for the millionth time I have had a penchant for a skirt shorter than it should be. I just don't know whether to go for navy or black.

New Balance sneakers. Late to the party with these, but my superga's are not a good fit for my feet and I need a new pair of sneakers ASAP. Comfortable and good looking, what more can a girl ask for?

  1. I agree with you on the Supergas.. they don't fit me right in the toes, they are too wide even though the length is right. I really like the look of them though. What do you think of converse low tops? Like the ones Elin Kling wears? I'm struggling to find sneakers I like that don't look too chunky, or make it look like I'm on my way to work and going to change into heals.. The nike flynit in black grey is another option as well.

    1. In my experience, converse shoes are not comfortable and I don't find them to be particularly aesthetically pleasing. I've never really gotten the craze I guess. If you do, then go ahead and wear them! :-)

  2. I love that first dress you have pictured [who is it by?], and I completely agree with you on being willing to swipe my card for that white Elin dress. It's simple and the details are perfect. Plus, I too like the low-cut sides, it's sexy without branching too far into a negative zone. As for skirts shorter than they should be, I have a penchant for them too! Always have for some reason; though I feel like I shouldn't be so fond of them... I guess if I am going to show something off I've chosen my legs. I really like those NB shoes, they would be great with a number of wardrobe pieces. Personally, I like Nike's myself, but tha's because all the guys in HS wore NB and I think I associate them with that so much. I love how NBs look-- but they keep reminding me of then! ha. They are incredibly comfortable though, and still stylish. :]

    1. Isabel Marant actually. (See, there is hope left that she hasn't completely gone bezerk). Right! I'd rather have side boob than front boob cleavage, somehow it feels way classier. I know, it feels like I should not want those kind of skirts... but yet, I really do.

I feel like if I were to wear a pair of Nike's I'd feel like I'm on my way to the gym or out for a powerwalk. Haha!

    2. Oh, I am surprised! I had completely thought she had abandoned all her old design aesthetics and gone bezerk! ha. It does seem classier! I don't know why- but it does.

Ha. I can see that comparison. I stick to my casual 'fashion' Nikes and leave my Frees for when I actually go running!

  3. I love those two pictured dresses especially with those Isabel Marant boots! I saw your comment above on trainers, and totally agree with you on converse people say they are comfy but I bought a pair this summer and they are so painful, maybe I need to wear them in a bit more, but those you have posted look great.

  4. Love the looks of the Balance trainers. Was thinking about getting some Supergas, sorry to hear the fit is bad!
